Garmont T8 Bifida Tactical Military Boot

Feet. What to protect them with? Hiking boots, military/tactical boots? What are your goals? What do you plan on, or think is the likely use-case? Possible-vs-probable?

For me, I wanted a pair of boots that were not work/construction/hiking boots that might be too heavy, but usable for a ruck. I also wanted boots that had the design (ie military/tactical) features for pew pew training/drills.

I've been using these Garmont T8 Bifida boots for the past three months. I've taken them out to a couple of hikes, firearms training courses, and in-the-woods pew pew days.

Going with the "Two is one, one is none" philosophy, I ended up with two slightly different pairs of these (12.5" wide and 13" wide). Two pairs of the same boot, one being broken in now and the other as a backup (supply chain, wearing out, backup, ability to throw in a bag, etc).

How did I arrive at these particular boots? It was the combination of Google/YouTube for things like "best tactical boots" and then whittling down to the ones I liked. There was actually another pair, a bit more expensive, but out of stock that lead to these as my second choice.
